About Boys With A Future

Boys With A Future

Russell Joel Brown developed and currently serves as Director of Boys With A Future, a world-class after school program for inner-city boys in academic and life crisis in the Harrisburg area of Augusta. This program seeks to revolutionize this under-served area through education, the only sure way out of poverty and into a fulfilling and well-rounded life.

The program currently serves 5 boys and is set to expand to serve a total of 12. The program emphasizes academic excellence, social skills, service to the community, as well as physical and spiritual development. The program is not just another afterschool program. It is a unique, multiple-year program dedicated to making a lasting impact in the lives of Augusta’s young boys and young men. Boys join as young as 10 years old and the goal is to work with them until they are 18 and ready to move on to higher education – hopefully with all the tools they need to be successful in their goals.

From Mozart to Motown is a fundraising concert for Boys With A Future, with the goal of assisting in funding more program elements, supplies, and expanded opportunities for the boys.

Donations to Boys With A Future can be made on Russell Joel Brown’s Facebook fundraiser or checks can be sent directly to the program. Checks must be made out to Good Neighbor Ministries and be noted that it is for “Boys with a Future”.
